Sprint #2

In sprint #2, the team started the development the Global Sites system. After meeting the PO, the following user stories where defined:

  • As a teacher I want to iterate through the content (Control View) so that I can show my students different materials (Text, Video, 3D Models) (Size M)

  • As a teacher I want to show my students my gaze so that they can know where I am looking at and what I am referring to (Size: S)

  • As a teacher I want to iterate through the different panoramas (Control View) so that I can show my students different locations through the jobsite (Size: S)

  • As a student I want to get teacher attention (Control View) so that I can ask questions (Size S)

The development of the system was driven by the user stories, allowing the team to concretely envision the elements necessary to deliver the experience. Figure 1 show the interfaces from perspective of the student (blue) and the perspective of the teacher (red).

With the created conceptual experience, the team develop the interface on individual scenes. Later, each individual element was combined into a federated prototype. Challenges were found sharing files with the use of GitHub, due to the nature of the Unity projects. Additional problems where found on this initial version of the prototype exporting all the elements into a GoogleCardboard platform.
